The morning began with a 4:30am wake up call grabbing gear and heading to Lia’s house to capture her story. Lia gets up very early every Sunday morning to sell food in the market with her family. It’s a pretty interesting process of getting everything ready and then getting it to the market.
Knowing that I would be filming off a motorcycle and in a crowded market meant I needed a small camera package that would enable me to move quick. I simply chose the Canon 5d mkii, Canon’s 24-105 IS and a rode video mic. This helped me get the shots I needed quickly without drawing to much of a crowd. Lia was fantastic in front of the camera and a real natural which is so crucial to make a character driven story like this work.
Here’s some Behind the scenes shots.
